Comment: Hello, Many of you already know about my friends’ little boy Aedan, who was born with cerebral palsy. Many of you have already supported them through a steak night that we hosted earlier this year at Rodeos. Your generous support was greatly appreciated and has benefitted the family on some of the initial additional costs they has incurred since Aedan was born in January. Aedan is soon 10 months old and has had a pretty rough go so far. His parents looking for support in effort to raise funds to pursue stem cell treatments for Aedan in effort to provide for him a better quality of life. As you can see from Janay’s email below, this is a very costly endeavour of a treatment that is not offered in North America. Rather than participating in Movember this year, I will be supporting all of the Pryznyk’s fundraising efforts. Through the sale of Poinsettias this season, I would like to extend the offer of purchasing poinsettias so that it may benefit Aedan. Please, there is no pressure to purchase as I know that many of you have supported my friends before, however, I do ask for you to consider this option if you are looking to buying poinsettias this year for your home, office or company’s seasonal decor. To purchase, please click on the link below and then “Place Your Order” from the menu on the left side. http://aedansangels.plants4nonprofit.com Please enter my name in the “Referred By:” box as that will let the team know who will be delivering the ordered poinsettias to you and collecting payment. The Poinsettias will come in the beginning of December (7th-9th) and I will deliver the ones that you have ordered to you. All plants are high quality and include a beautiful potcover for $13. You also have the option of adding a decorative snowman pick for $2. Once you have made your order, I will arrange to collect cash or cheque payment from you by November 9th and the order will be place November 10th. If you have any questions about the poinsettias, about Aedan or the Pryznyks or are interested in helping with their fundraising efforts, please let me know. I truly and sincerely thank you for your consideration. Jeremy Dean | Corporate Director of Revenue Management Phone: 306-244-6607 | revenuemanagement@airlinehotels.ca Have you visited our new website? http://www.airlinehotels.ca -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Janay Volk Subject: Poinsettia Fundraiser Hello Everyone. As you all know Aedan has Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral refers to the cerebrum, which is the affected area of the brain, and palsy refers to the disorder of movement. Cerebral palsy is caused by damage to the motor control centres of the brain. When the nerve cells (neurons) in these regions die, the appropriate signals can no longer be sent to the muscles under their control. This results in poor control of these muscles which causes the symptoms of CP. Spastic refers to the type of lost muscle control and Quadriplegic means that Aedan is affected in all 4 limbs. Brain damage that causes CP also can cause other disorders in Aedan such as: mental retardation, learning disabilities, seizures (he currently experiences these), visual impairment (he also has this), hearing loss, and speech impairment. There is no cure for Cerebral Palsy. Through innovative research throughout the world, Stem Cell treatments have proven to be successful in helping repair the damaged cells, regenerate new ones and recover functions. This means that Aedan could end up walking, talking, hearing, seeing, possessing better coordination/muscle control, and better mental development. Unfortunately, because this research with Stem Cells is very new, the treatments are not offered in North America. We have narrowed it down to facilities in China or Germany. The approximate cost of the first initial treatment is $33,000 (plus accommodations and travel) and the second treatment (which Aedan will need) is approximately $17,000 (plus accommodations and travel). Throughout the next 6 months, we will be putting on a few fundraisers to help with these costs. The reason I have emailed all of you is that I am trying to put together a team of people to help me sell these beautiful seasonal plants. Thank you to everyone for everything you have done for us already. Please help us provide a better and less painful way of life for Aedan. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. All our love, Janay, Jeff and Aedan

Comment: Hi, So after 3 1/2 years of good intentions, I finally managed to get to The Upstairs. Thank you so much for a wonderful Birthday evening. The food, atmosphere and service was fantastic. The new extension and decor makes it the classiest restaurant in town. I look forward to returning in the future!

Comment: Hi! I see your listed on Groupon today.. I will probably try this. Your site is great, and the humor is perfect. It made me laugh. I also own a business in Stoon, but am no expert... I dislike getting critical email telling me I am doing something wrong, or my website needs this, or that... etc. BUT here is goes, the gallery photos are really good, except for one thing... the wall. It looks all splattered with oil and kind of yucky. It is a bit detracting from the whole thing I think, anyhoo, cheers and probably see you later. (now I'm hungry)

Comment: My boyfriend and I went to the upstairs last weekend, it was really a nice evening. They had recently opened up a new part of the restaurant and it looked to be about 10 times as big. we had been to the other side and it seemed a lot more crowded. They had a cool design on the ceiling, lava lamps everywhere and very intimate lighting. it sure was different, we filled up left after 3 hours and felt like we had just been to a very special place , Daniel was avery funny and attentive server, will be going back for our christmas party, well done.

Comment: We went on a Sunday night - not very busy and one of the best dining experiences I have had in Saskatoon. Very intimate space, great music, great food and the service was excellent. Prices are very competitive with any any other fine dining in the city. Will definitely go again, and again, and again. Fantastic!

Comment: We went to the upstairs for our anniversary, and it was incredible, I want to thank our server Mel who was fantastic. We had the hotrock which was the most unique dining experience I have ever had, we had lots of food left over and they kept asking to bring us more. This is the best night out I have had in Saskatoon since I came here 3 yrs. ago. I recommend everyone try this restaurant and make sure you go hungry.

Comment: Food was great, we were the only ones there so it was really nice and quiet. Would not recommend the Pumpkin pie drink, did not like it at all and for the cost you still have to try and drink it. Do try the chedder bacon that was amazing.

Comment: I attended a birthday party several nights ago and it was pretty great. I heard there may not be enough food and that it was costly. There were 10 of us and I would like to say that it was a very unique and unbelievably enjoyable night , all of us were completeley stuffed and they were still offering to bring out more food.(which I have never encountered at a restaurant before) The cost for a complete meal was much cheaper than anywhere else in Saskatoon and the amount of service and attention to atmosphere was fantastic. Our server was awesome and very attentive. I can not say enough about the great experience. I recommend it for a date or for a group. Good Luck to the Upstairs and congratulations on a truly wonderful and very unique dining experience.

Comment: I had the experience of dining at your fine establishment Sat March 28 Enjoyed the moment however with reflection i am sad to say I am writting this e-mail Two things ofended me your prices reflect a high end Resteraunt and the product does not match up. I enjoyed the setteing of cooking and chating however after seeing and reflecting on the bill not same attitude. I agree with the concept of controll waste however I think you have to become more etute on the portion uou offer . The most offensive to me is well within your controll and that is simply eliminate the percentage breakdown for what is refered to as a tip . If you insist on high end get the teminolgy correct and in high end it is never displayed. My experience was positve howevre I will have to be convinced to return. I will recomend my dining experince to others as one truly must experince your presentation. Question lies in how many will return Again thank you for the experinece and I wish you well in the nieche market you have successfuly created. Herb
